Apples are in season and ready to be picked, polished off and purchased. Apples provide tons of health benefits. They are full of fiber that can lower cholesterol and control blood sugar. Apples aid in digestion as well as contain quercetin, an antioxidant that is known for cancer prevention.

To make a perfect pairing snack, include a healthy fat from a nut butter, such as almond butter, macadamia nut butter or peanut butter. 
•    Almond butter is a great cost-effective and nutrient-rich choice. These nuts are rich in fiber and contain vitamin E, a nutrient that protects our cells against damage.
•    Macadamia nut butter is a wonderful alternative spread that is full of monounsaturated fat, which helps reduce bad cholesterol.
•    Peanut butter is a great source of plant protein, which may help you feel full.
